2006 Genuine Blur 150cc – Great cond. Low mileage – $2500 OBO (south san francisco) $2500

October 13, 2012 in San Francisco

I’m selling my 2006 Genuine Blur 150cc with only 7562 Kilometers, 4698 U.S. miles. Yes, this scooter has KM instead of miles. When I bought this bike, it had only 2200 miles on the odometer, but after riding it for awhile, I realized I was accumulating more miles than possible. I brought it to the scooter center to get it checked out and found out that they didn’t convert it to miles when manufactured for the U.S. I used a GPS to check the mileage and it was confirmed that it was making more than 40% more miles than it suppose to (might go up a little bit because i might have to ride it to keep the fluids flowing). I’m the second owner. Always garaged. I never rode it in the rain. All bodywork is in very good condition. There are some scratches here and there, but there’s nothing broken or cracked. Always kept clean. Always changed oil/oil filter every 1500 miles, so you know the engine has been taken care of. There are extra add-ons on this scooter:

After Market exhaust
Rear rack with plate
Givi Top case with Back rest
GPS attachment holder
Pig-tail Battery Tender on battery.

The sound from the exhaust is really deep and throaty. I get about 80-85 mpg from street to highway riding. The scooter has great acceleration for a 150cc, and because it’s a 150cc, it’s highway legal. The Blur can get over 70+mph on the speedometer, but we all know that scooters/motorcycles purposely raise the speedometer 10%+ so you think you’re going fast, but you’re actually going slower (it’s the manufacturers illusion for riders to not speed). I went ahead and GPS the actual speed and this scooter clocked a 68.5 mph on a straight road with no wind. That’s faster than a stock Blur of the same year. This is where the after market exhaust helped out.

As I have mentioned before, I’ve changed the oil every 1500 miles since I bought it. The gear oil has been changed twice. The tires has a lot of tread still. The rear tire has only 1000 U.S. miles since I got it installed. The front tire is the original when I purchased the scooter. I just got a tune-up and valve job, plus a new CVT belt about 2 months ago. This bike has great brakes. They’re DISC brakes front and rear. Most scooters in this class usually has front disc, but not rear. So the braking is excellent. The color of the bike is Black with Red rims. They’re not the original color, but it doesn’t look too bad. The scooter brand new sold for $3500. I’m asking $2500 OBO. With the gas crisis these days, this scooter will pay for itself in a year or two if you compare the cost of filling a SUV to this scooter.

Give me a call if you want to look or buy it. If you want to test ride it, $2500 in my hands and you can test it. If you drop while testing it, you bought it. Please, no LOW-BALLERS! I will consider reasonable offers. 415-279-7894
