I put in a 12v system consisting of two 6v batteries in series mounted under the rear fender. It is not wired into the bikes electrical system so the batteries have to be replaced when they die, if you wanted to you could get a bigger magneto and never have to change them again but it wasn’t worth it to me to spend the extra money. The lights are connected to a switch on the handle bars . Mirror is on the left side of the bars as well. The police in my town are total a-holes and saw me riding this every day on rt. 62 and other main roads in Burlington. I have been pulled over twice and after about an hour of them looking in the book and trying to get me on something they had to let me go. But one time the wire for my rear light came loose and the light went out. I got pulled over and they got me for not having a light. $30 fine. I have the ticket photo coppied if you wanna see.

The bike is registered as a moped. Look up the laws and it says 50cc max. The crf50 had a 49.5 cc engine and the engine now just looks like you put a new timing cover on . I believe all you need is a learners permit. I have a vehicle license, not a motorcycle one, and I was fine. If you watch your speed and don’t be an idiot you can easily ride this every day and be fine. I am ~5′ 8″ and 210lbs and this pulled me around and up big hills no problem. Has more than enough power to pull an adult.

The goggles – Are amber Oakley’s … cant find a pic but theyre all in good shape. The helmet is pretty beat but its just cosmetic .
