I recently built this Moped from a bicycle and a kit I purchased online. It’s very reliable and I used it to get around for about 300-400 miles as my main means of transportation. I am selling it now because I recently got a motorcycle. I am a knowledgeable mechanic so I went through and lubricated all the cables, checked the torque on the engines nuts and bolts, as well as replacing hardware which was less than adequate. Also the engine was properly broken in through three heat cycles without load, three under light load, then three under normal load with a cool down between each. That said it will likely require continued maintenance (just like any motor vehicle) to keep it running and safe, so you should also have some basic mechanical knowledge. New tires, tubes, and tireliners. Also one time registration has been paid and it’s street legal in the state of California, but you need to install lights for night driving.
