If your Vespa’s speedometer doesn’t work (common problem), odds are your speedo cable need to be replaced. This is a cheap fix and will save you from going to a Vespa dealer.
I am including the inside cable (brand new) as well as a used cable housing (not useable unless you can compress the coil spring back) . I am also including a new pinion which goes into your front wheel assembly which is part of the speedomter mechanism on Vespas (Part #267819). All you’d need to do to replace the cable is disassemble your headlight housing, unscrew one nut holding the speedo cable to the speedo, pull out the old cable and insert this new cable in. You may need to diassemble the parts near the front wheel but if so, it’s only 1 screw. This fits my LX 50 perfect (I measured it to my existing cable) and also fits others such as the LX 150 and LXV. Vespa part # is 601618. Pickup at Fillmore and Eddy. Priced at $15 FIRM.
